Vocal remover

Karaoke maker: remove the vocals from a song

Drop a song or a video. The AI separates the voice from the music: you get the instrumental without the vocals, and the vocals on their own, both as MP3 or FLAC.

How to make a karaoke track

  1. Drop your song

Choose an audio file or a video. You can listen to it here, with its waveform, before you start.

  2. Remove the vocals

Sign in and click Remove the vocals. Your file is uploaded, then the AI separates the voice from the music.

  3. Download and sing

Play the instrumental and the vocals right on the page, then download both tracks as MP3 or FLAC.

What you get

Two tracks, the same length as your song:

  • Instrumental: the whole song without the vocals, to sing karaoke or practice a cover.
  • Vocals: the voice on its own, for an a cappella, a remix or to learn the melody.

Download them as MP3 at 320 kbps, which plays on any device, or as lossless FLAC (stereo, 44.1 kHz, 16 bit) for DAWs and audio editors. They stay online for 24 hours, then they are deleted.

Works with songs and videos

Drop almost any audio file: MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A, AAC, OGG, Opus, WMA, AIFF and more. Videos work too: MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM, AVI or WMV, and only their soundtrack is used. Files can be up to 4 GB.

Turn the vocals into MIDI

Want the melody as notes? Drop the Vocals track into our audio to MIDI converter and get a MIDI file you can edit in the piano roll, or play with any instrument in your DAW.

Karaoke maker FAQ

How do I make a karaoke version of a song?

Drop the song on this page, sign in, then click Remove the vocals. When the separation is done, download the Instrumental track: it is your karaoke version.

How much does it cost?

The karaoke maker uses credits, about 1 credit per 30 seconds of audio: a 3 minute song costs 7 credits. Credit packs start at 500 credits for $4.99.

Does it remove the backing vocals too?

Backing vocals count as vocals: the AI moves them to the Vocals track along with the lead voice.

Can I make a karaoke track from a video?

Yes. Drop an MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM, AVI or WMV video: its soundtrack is separated, and you get two audio tracks.

What format are the tracks in?

MP3 at 320 kbps by default, which plays on any device. You can pick FLAC instead: stereo, 44.1 kHz, 16 bit and lossless, for DAWs and audio editors.

What happens to my file?

Your file is uploaded to our servers only to separate the vocals. The file and both tracks are deleted after 24 hours.

Can I use the tracks in public or online?

For practice and private karaoke, go ahead. To publish a cover, play the track in public or use it commercially, you need the rights to the original song.

Can I turn the vocals into MIDI?

Yes. Drop the Vocals track into our audio to MIDI converter to get the melody as MIDI notes you can edit and play with any instrument.
